An All-Inclusive Presence

Hello friends ! This is a funding appeal intended to facilitate the production of a major project: a live video/concert fruit of the collaboration among three Ithaca-area artists: Peter Dodge, composer; Bryan Root, filmmaker; and Fernando Llosa, visual artist. A short feature film may also be in the works.   The title of the piece — An All-Inclusive Presence— was originally given by Fernando to a limited edition book containing an essay and a set of images selected from a large body of ink paintings made between 2004 and 2013. At the heart of that work pulse two essential and intertwined observations. One is that our long-standing identification with limited, contradictory, and extremely divisive forms of personal and tribal consciousness has alienated us from the mystery of life, the fundamental source of the human presence in the cosmos. And the other is that, unless we somehow manage to overcome this estrangement from our natural and common ground, we will continue to live

Open Studio Kim Schrag and Fernando Llosa  Saturday and Sunday,  September 24 and 25 11-6 both days 32 Elm Street, Trumansburg Fernando is currently in collaboration with Peter Dodge and Bryan Root to produce a new piece titled, An Inclusive Presence. Those of you who are interested in helping to make this major new art, music, and video concert project become a reality, will be able to purchase any of Fernando's paintings, prints, stone poems or photographs with a significant discount. He will also have on display digital prints made from the glass plate paintings that will be featured in  An Inclusive Presence ,   in exchange for a donation of $50.  (By the way this offer is valid from September 20 to December 31.
