The Sower Has Roots
The Sower Has Roots
The roots of the plants in this magnificent garden penetrate into the ground, gathering their nourishment from the soil and water, while their stems push up through the earth to the air and sun, allowing flowers, fruit and seeds to mature. The gardener, small in scale compared to nature’s abundance, moves among these plants, admires their beauty, harvests their produce, gathers and plants seeds for the next generation. We may feel that we are free agents as we move easily among the plants, but we are dependent on their bounty, and just like them, we survive on the nutrients of the soil, as well as the air, water and sunshine to sustain our lifecycle. We are fully rooted in the totality of existence.
